I grew up not far from Loveland Ohio and I had never been to this place but now that I know I will be becoming a regular. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very family friendly. There is plenty of parking so you don't have to search for a spot. The grounds itself are a farm but it is very clean and well kept. There's an indoor and outdoor market that sells fruits and vegetables like apples, pumpkins, tomatoes, squash, beans, cucumbers, and much more. Everything is home grown and fresh. They also sell Fall decorations, mums, flowers, candy, cider, and many other items. There prices are surprisingly cheap, I've been to other farms where the prices were double that of Blooms & Berries. I am a huge honey crisp apple lover and they offer them at just $1.99 lb which is half of what I pay at the grocery store. The other prices were cheaper as well. We had perfect weather for our day so we stuck around and enjoyed some of the sites. They have a adorable Cow Train for the kids to ride on, a 30 minute long hayride where you can pick your own pumpkin out of the field, friendly animals that you can pet, 2 corn mazes, a slide, and many other games.
We decided to take home a few pumpkins, caramel apples, apples, and apple cider.
The apples as you can see are large and fresh and taste delicious. One apple makes a nice snack they're that large. The cider is way better than anything you'd ever get in the grocery store. The caramel apples are some of the best I've ever had, we had 4 but one I ate on the way home I just couldn't wait. The best part was picking out our pumpkins, they had so many different colors and varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and squash. We finally decided on a pumpkin and a green colored gourd like pumpkin. They will look perfect in my Fall decorations in my home. They had wheel barrels next to where you pick out pumpkins so you could load your choices on them and easily transport them to your car. Definitely a nice touch and saves your back. There was also a small pumpkin patch for the kids to pick out their own that was really cute.
After we picked out our pumpkins we decided to visit with the animals. They were all really friendly and fun to look at. The donkeys and the goats came right to me when I walked up to them it was really cool. They also had rabbits, several types of ducks and chickens, and turkeys. We really enjoyed checking out the animals.
We then decided to take a turn at one of the corn mazes. This was my first trip through a corn maze and I must admit it was a lot of fun even for an adult. The maze was neatly laid out and was easy to walk through. We had a lot of fun figuring our way through the maze and finding the culprit to the mystery of the missing honey.
We ended our day with a hayride around the farm and past the pumpkin patch. The farm is partially wooded and has cute painted wooden animal scenes in the woods that were a real hit with the kids in our wagon. During the hayride we stopped for the kids to pick their own pumpkins in the field and they had a lot of fun doing so. I had a great time on the hayride, it had been years since I had been on one. Our day was great the weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun at Blooms and Berries. We will definitely be going back and will be telling all our friends and family about this place. My Mom loves to pick fresh blueberries in the summer months and this farm has pick your own strawberries and blueberries. They also had acres of pumpkins, sunflowers, tomatoes, and other veggies and fruits.
Our dog decided he loves the green pumpkin!
